Art Show

The NSBA Foundation is proud to offer the 2021 Art Show. Attendees at the NSBA World Championship Show and Breeders Championship Futurity will have the opportunity to view or purchase art from three of our industry favorites. These talented individuals will be available throughout the art show to explain their process and remark on their work.

Twilley stumbled upon photography while testing out different styles of watercolor painting, as he would produce watercolor pieces based on photos he captured of wildlife and nature. From his start with a film camera to the mastery of digital photography, Twilley says his work has majorly changed over time. “With film, you had to pay for your mistakes,” Twilley explains. “I now have more room for error and to experiment with digital photography”. Twilley encourages aspiring photographers to relax, have fun, and carefully focus on each subject’s eye. The hobbyist photographer’s father instilled a strong love and respect for nature in his sons. The Tulsa resident finds that wildlife is often the subject of his photographs, including the bald eagles of Tulsa and wild horses. Twilley's talent behind the lens awarded him a guided photography tour trip to Lake Clark National Park and Reserve in Port Alsworth, Alaska, where he captured an award-winning image of a mother grizzly bear.

Shelly Presley's love of drawing horses began when she was in grade school. She is married to the love of her life, James and took a short break on her artwork to raise two beautiful children in her hometown of Edmond, Oklahoma. When Shelly is not working on her art, you can find her at Edmond Regional Eye Associates, where she has worked for the past 32 years as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician. She loves to spend time with her mother, sisters, and two grandsons that she adores. She has been a member of AQHA for over 30 years and currently is on the Board of OAQHA. Shelly is an award winning artist and has been recognized in several national magazines including Instride Magazine and Mastered Manes Art Magazine, along with being featured in the 2020 and 2021 Salt River Wild Mustang Art Calendar.

Tina works primarily with color pencils and has been creating commissioned portraits of horses, pets and people for almost 8 years. In addition to commissioned work, Tina creates original art from photos taken as she travels the country judging horse shows.

Her original art features horses, cattle, birds and people. Her original art has placed and sold in several national art competitions. Tina has studied with several internationally renowned artists.

In her spare time, Tina judges for many equine breed associations, and has trained, shown, and bred horses for over 30 years. Tina currently lives in Whitesboro TX.
