Help Us Make a Difference

The National Snaffle Bit Association (NSBA) Foundation, announced  the winner of the 2 Horse Trailer provided by 4-Star Trailers, Inc. on October 16th, during the All American Quarter Horse Congress. The trailer was awarded to Kevin Sloas of Flatwoods, KY.

During a presentation, Sloas’ name was randomly drawn from nearly 750 donors who made a donation to the Susan Scott Memorial Fund in support of the NSBA Youth of the Year Award.

Sloas, a retired Army Veteran, has been competing in the NSBA Heroes on Horses program since 2018. Along with 15 other veteran exhibitors at the NSBA World Championship show this past August. A donation was made in the name of all the Heroes on Horses exhibitors to be entered in the drawing. Tali Terlizzi Show Horses & John Harms of Ocala, FL along with Barbara Crawford of Folsom, CA made the donation.

John Harms, commented, “Having an opportunity to be included in the work of the NSBA Foundation is a great way to support the youth members of the NSBA.”

He went on to say “Having one of our Heroes on Horses receive the trailer, that is a WIN WIN for everyone.”

“Recognizing participants in two different categories of competition offered by NSBA was a huge win for the awarding of this trailer”, NSBA Executive Director, Stephanie Lynn remarked.

The goal to raise  $100,000 allows the NSBA Foundation to recognize four additional Youth of the Year applicants  with a $1,000 scholarship. The Youth of the Year Award recognizes youth who demonstrate dedication through volunteer work for a worthy cause. This award is presented annually to a deserving youth who has gone above and beyond to exhibit exemplary character in helping others through community service. The purpose is to promote and celebrate service work in our youth.
