The National Snaffle Bit Association announces the recipients of three scholarships to youth members; T. Joe Jean, Carrie Schimpff and Kirsten Swanson. The funds for the scholarships came from two sources. 10% of the money generated annually by the Trainer Sale is earmarked for the Scholarship Fund. Taylor Joe Jeane, T. Joe, who will be attending LSU in the fall to study Architecture, is the recipient of the Lynn Simons Memorial Scholarship. A high school varsity athlete in Football and Baseball and National Honor Society member, T. Joe is active in church and community volunteer activities. He is an AQHYA Reserve World Champion and NSBA World Champion and has earned multiple superiors in Western Riding and Trail. “This scholarship is special to me not only because it will help with the rising cost of education but because Lynn Simons was a special mentor in my life. His ethics, integrity and dedication to the industry had a great influence on me” said Jeane.
