Programs Breeders Championship Futurity Enrolling a Stallion or Foal

Enrolling a Stallion or Foal

ENROLLING A STALLION
To participate in the Breeders Championship Futurity, a stallion must be enrolled in the NSBA Stallion Incentive Program by donating a breeding by February 15th of the current year.  After this date, the nomination to the Stallion Incentive Program must be made with payment for the breeding (1/2 the stud fee plus $100).

Stallion owners will then pay a $400 annually by May 15th to nominate their stallion to the NSBA Breeders Championship Futurity. After May 15th, nominations increase to $800 and can be paid at any date to make foals eligible.  The year in which a stallion is paid into the Breeders Championship Futurity will make foals born in that year eligible for nomination.

ENROLLING A FOAL
Horses may be enrolled at any time beginning as weanlings through their four year old year.

Weanling Year Payment options (by December 15 of foaling year) are as follows:

  • 1-4 foals $100 per foal
  • 5-9 foals $85 per foal
  • 10-19 foals $70 per foal
  •  20-49 foals $55 per foal
  • 50+ foals $40 per foal

OR a payment plan of $50 by December 15 of foaling year followed by $100 by December 15 of yearling year.

Yearling Year Payment options are as follows:

After May 15 of yearling year $1000 per foal

2 Year Olds & Older Payment options are as follows:
Beginning January 1 of two year old year $2000 per foal

Upon completion of a nomination, foal owners will be sent a Certificate of Eligibility.  This certificate will need to be presented in order to show in any Breeders Championship Futurity classes.

Stallions and foals do not have to pay a separate enrollment fee for the Color Division.
Horses may show in Color AND in Open Division.
