National Snaffle Bit Association is pleased to announce that Laura Spell, of St. Louis, Missouri, has become the newest member to cross over into the NSBA Quarter Million Dollar Club. She surpassed the milestone of $250,000 in lifetime NSBA earnings after winning the Breeders Trust 3-Year-Old Hunter Under Saddle at the 2026 APHA World Championship Show aboard Laww And Order/JB Laww and Order. The 2023 AQHA/APHA dual-registered gelding by Outlaw Enterprise is owned by Teri A Nichols and was bred by Mark D Gauci.

Laura grew up in Hastings, Minnesota, on a farm owned by her parents, Rodney and Jill Stenroos. She competed as a Non-Pro and attended the University of Minnesota in Mankato and the University of Wisconsin at River Falls, but always knew that she wanted a career training horses. Following her marriage to Wade in 2013, Laura gave up her Non-Pro status and joined him in building Spell Show Horses.
