Open and Non Pro exhibitors of all ages compete against one another for a $15,000 purse with a $1,000 bonus being paid to the highest placing Non Pro exhibitor. The class will be held on Tuesday, August 11 in the Pavilion at approximately 6:30 PM with a pre-event party sponsored by CINCH will be held before the class.
The class is open to any Youth, Non Pro or Open exhibitor on any age horse. Contestants can show multiple horses in the preliminaries. Only in the event that an exhibitor qualifies multiple horses for the finals, an alternate rider must be designated for the finals.

Purse will pay as follows:
First Place - $3,500
Second Place - $2,500
Third Place - $1,500
Fourth Place - $1,200
Fifth Place - $1,000
Sixth Place - $750
Seventh Place - $600
Eighth Place - $500
9th – 15th $350 (based on scores from preliminary competition)
An exhibitor has two minutes and 30 seconds to accumulate as many points as possible by
completing obstacles. The point value of an obstacle is relative to its difficulty with high
and low options available. Obstacles can be done in any order and may be repeated,
only after exhibitor has completed all obstacles once. A bonus jump obstacle is optional
and can only be completed during the last 15 seconds of time allowed. All penalties
that occur on an obstacle are deducted from that obstacles point value as indicated
below. Ticks, hits and stride rules are not considered. There will be a one point penalty
assessed for each second over time allowed. Ties will be broken on fastest time to
complete the course.
The top eight scores from the preliminaries will advance to the finals with more than 16
entries. In the finals, the top two runs will advance to a ride-off for first and second
Use of one or two hands is permissible with any NSBA approved equipment. Exhibitor is
allowed to use the saddle horn without penalty.
CINCH First 2 Finish Trail is scored on a mathematical basis.
3 Point Penalties
a. Incorrect or break of gait where specified in obstacle
b. Stepping outside the confines of, falling or jumping off or out of an obstacle with one foot once the foot has entered obstacle; including missing one element of an obstacle on a line of travel with one foot
5 Point Penalties
a. Knocking down an elevated pole, cone, barrel, plant obstacle, or severely disturbing an obstacle
b. Stepping outside the confines of, falling or jumping off or out of an obstacle with more than one foot once the foot has entered obstacle; including missing one element of an obstacle on a line of travel with more than one foot
c. Blatant disobedience (including kicking out, bucking, rearing, striking)

a. Failure to work an obstacle in any manner other than how it’s described by the course
0 SCORE – DISQUALIFICATION
a. Excessive schooling, pulling, turning or backing anywhere on course
